Author's Summer Writing Workshop July 13 And 14

Washington, D.C. – What's your story? Have you ever said, "I want to write, but..."? Join author Marita Golden for her summer writing workshop “I Want to Write, But...!” on July 13 and 14 in Washington, D.C. This two-day workshop, offered June 29-30 and July 13-14, provides a safe, intimate setting where writers of any genre, beginning and advanced, can be in a community with others on the same path. Participants will discover how to write brilliantly in 15 minutes a day, how to live with and learn to love and even embrace the fear that makes writing so irresistible and so scary, as well as how to find the support needed to be a long distance runner toward the finish line of a writing project. GM Elects Two New Board Members
Detroit, MI – General Motors Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner announced the election of Erroll B. Davis, Jr. and Kathryn V. Marinello to the GM Board of Directors and the re-election of the current members of the GM Board. The election of Davis and Marinello brings the number of board members to 13, of whom 12 are independent, outside directors. Davis is chancellor of the University System of Georgia and a former chairman and chief executive officer of Alliant Energy Corporation. Marinello is president and chief executive officer of Ceridian Corporation. She was previously president and chief executive officer of GE Fleet Services and, prior to that, of GE Capital’s Consumer Financial Services business.

Starbucks Partners With Black Author
Largo, MD – Since nothing compares to a great cup of coffee and a good book, Starbucks at Largo recently showcased Michele Fletcher, author of Charge It To The Game, at their new, summer flavor kick-off.
